About the project
Drive in Five! is an innovative Ukrainian project to create electric cars designed from scratch for people in wheelchairs. Our goal is to return people's freedom of movement and independence by making mobility accessible, barrier-free and financially achievable.
Today, most automotive solutions for people with disabilities are expensive and inconvenient modifications of production cars that still require transfers, lifts and external assistance. We went the other way - created a car around a person in a wheelchair, and not the other way around.
Drive in Five! is an electric car that lowers to the road level, allowing a user in any wheelchair, including an electric one, to independently enter the cabin and drive the car without transferring. The spacious cabin accommodates up to four people in wheelchairs or combines users with disabilities and passengers without them. The car is not designed as a large converted van, but as a compact, urban and energy-efficient solution.
A separate advantage of the project is the versatility of the platform. Based on the same model, we are creating a cargo version of the car, capable of transporting up to three Euro pallets. Thanks to the low floor and wide doors, cargo can be loaded without special equipment, which makes the car ideal for urban logistics and last-mile delivery.
The Drive in Five! project was created and implemented in Mykolaiv, a city with a strong engineering heritage. In 2025, the first prototype of the car was presented at the international IAA Mobility and REHACARE exhibitions in Munich, becoming the first car in over 30 years to be developed in Ukraine and shown at events of this level.
We plan to mass produce up to 50,000 cars per year, with a focus on the markets of the European Union. At the same time, the project has a clear social mission: out of every 14 cars sold in the EU, one will be manufactured and given free of charge to people in wheelchairs or veterans in Ukraine who aspire to work, run a business and be an active part of society.
Drive in Five! is not just a car.
It is about freedom of movement, dignity and equal opportunities.
